Fusion 360 Freezes when i try to offset svg file

If i offset non-svg file or i do anything else with svg like extrude it runs smoothly but it crashes as soon as i try to offset an svg sketch.

I tried on two different computers with 8gb and 16gb ram.

Thank you for any help,

Can you File>Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here?

Would Thicken or Shell return the desired body?

@Anonymous - post your SVG file here.  My guess is that it contains thousands of small lines or arcs.  Fusion will not react well to that many lines in a sketch.  Almost certainly, Fusion is not "frozen", but is just working very hard to offset all those entities.  If you wait long enough, it will succeed.  But, that is not a good way to work.  You are better off with a simpler sketch.  Sometimes you can edit SVGs to simplify the geometry, but often it is easier (and you will get better results) if you trace over the curves using native Fusion commands.

Hello,

Thank you for your help.

I attached my svg file.I tried with many others but got the same results.I converted png files to svg.

Meanwhile i realised if i uncheck chain select its ok but unfortunatelly i would need that function.

For me using spline is not a viable solution as i have many images with lots of curves and this function is not too accurate,i cant draw the same shape.

Thank you

thanks for the SVG, @lipakr .  It's not as bad as I thought.  The SVG has only about 700 curves, and 700 points.  I was able to offset the outer boundary of this OK.  There is a delay when I start the offset, while Fusion figures out what to offset, etc.  On my machine, that is about 20-25 seconds, but once I let that run, updates are pretty snappy.  It could be that your machine is not that powerful, in which case you might have to wait a bit longer for the offset, but from what I can tell, Fusion is not frozen, just thinking really hard.
