Splitting Problem

I have been successfully splitting a yacht hull body for 3D printing and then removing the body not required. Suddenly although the split body appears to work when I try to remove the unwanted part it doesn't go. However if I drag the whole hull it leaves the part I want but I end up with two bodies although it only says one body. Any ideas please

You are using way too many spine points. I'd venture a guess that most of this curves need a maximum of three.

That results in better surfaces and such problems as splitting disappear.

Im am not sure I understand the problem. You have two bodies that box have the same geometry.

Can you make a screencast and explain you problem in more detail ?
