Changine the label on a version

Running fusion 2.0.10032.   I've been sloppy: I've been tweaking a project trying to get it "just right" and so I have a bunch of saved versions of it and I'm not sure which had which "tweaks".   What I'd like to do is go back over the saved versions, figure out what the setting for that version was and then give the version a more proper label.

I was thinking that one trick might be to open the version, figure out the settings and then saving it anew but witt the right label, but I can't seem to be able to do that either.

Hi,

Great question. At this time there is no way to edit old version labels.

One workaround for you would be to add comments to the design file.

Step:

Open the old version

Add a comment

Result:

The comment will be marked with the version number.

If you open old versions they cannot be saved except as "latest" which is like rolling back time to that version.

The control to open an old version is right inside Fusion's data panel.

look at version history and find the open button.PNG

After the version is open add comments. No need to save anything. Just post the comment!

Make a comment using the comments box.png

Reference blog post about using Version Control.
