bug?

Hi,

I run into this (I assume bug) often.

In this scenario I have a component that I performed a split body on, then removed one of the split bodies resulting from the operation.

I then mirror this component.  And occasionally the removed body in the mirrored component reappears, but not in the original component.

To (temporarily) fix things, I do an Edit Feature on the mirror operation: and without changing anything in the mirror operation, just clicking ok, it is fixed, until it isn't later.

Attached is a gif that shows what's happening.

Also, WHEN WILL THE USER PARAMETERS LIST BE SORTABLE?!?!?!bug.gif

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

yes, that looks like a bug to me.  I'll check into it further.  Thanks for sharing the model - that helps.

Here's another one that I run into often...

I'm trying to create a rigid joint between 2 components, the first using the Simple model, the second using the Between Two Faces mode.

When it comes to choosing the two faces, I'm trying to select faces on different components (see animated gif below).

Must the 2 faces belong to the same component?

Thanks.

Here's another apparent bug.

When rolling the history marker forward across the rigid joint, the model updates as it should.

When rolling the history marker backward before the rigid joint, the model does not update as it should.

I have to roll the history marker backward before the previous operation (axis1) for the model to update.

I think I might know what's going on.

There was another joint that for some reason was placed in the parent component's Joints folder.  I'm guessing that when the time line slider is moved between the bounding operations of the child component, the position (before or after the joint in the parent's possession) on the big picture time line is indeterminant.  Seems like when the slider is moved to the left between the bounding ops, it is to the right of the joint located in the parent component, and vice versa.
