Browser Dropdown Panel

This is my first time writing in, though I have been a dedicated Fusion 360 user for over a decade.

I am writing regarding an issue I frequently encounter with the Browser Drop-Down Panel, and I would appreciate knowing if others struggle with this as well.

My struggle is with how the panel behaves when expanding items, especially in large projects within the Design or Manufacturing environments. As the number of sketches, bodies, components, or setups accumulates, the visual clutter makes it difficult to quickly locate the correct item.

The significant issue occurs upon expansion: when I click to expand a folder or item, I expect that item to remain stationary while the contents drop down below it. However, I find that approximately 50% of the time, the item I just clicked moves up and off-screen. This forces me to immediately scan the list again to re-orient myself.

This break in workflow is extremely unproductive, particularly when working on large, complex projects.

Is this a known issue, and are there any plans to implement a fix so that expanded items remain in view?

Thank you for taking the time to write in and for being a longtime Fusion user. We really appreciate hearing from experienced customers like yourself.

Regarding the behavior you’re seeing with the Browser panel: what you’re describing is not the expected interaction. When expanding a sketch, body, component, or setup folder, Fusion should keep the selected item in view rather than shifting it upward or off-screen. I understand how disruptive that can be, especially in larger, more complex projects where the Browser is heavily used.

To help us investigate this further, could you please provide:

• A short screen recording
  • A video makes it much easier for us to confirm the behavior and determine whether this is UI scrolling logic, focus handling, or performance-related. Even a quick clip is extremely helpful.
• Your operating system and version
  • (Windows or macOS, including version numbers) OS behavior can differ, and this information helps us narrow down potential causes.

Once we have that, we can look deeper to see whether this is a known issue, a UI regression, or something specific to certain project sizes or hardware configurations.

I hope the Video shows the issue well enough. Note, the jumping is mild in this video, it gets more extreme depending on the complexity of the file.
The operating system I'm using is a macOS, running Sequoia 15.5.

If you are having difficulty recreating the effect, please note that almost any setup with adequate depth and complexity will achieve the same result.
