adding a decal to a component that is duplicated but I only need it on a single not all. How do I only attach the decal to the face I want?

Please attach the model and the decal to your Forum post.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it. If needed, ZIP a F3Z file.  Attach the image file directly.

Good day John

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the design has copyrights. A project for Netflix. I cannot upload.

Kind regards,

Rebecca

Hi,

1. Copy the component and paste it again using “Paste New” (without moving it).

2. Hide the first instance.

3. Paste the decal onto the newly inserted independent component.

Thank you günther I did try but if doesn't give me the option "paste new" only paste. Wondering if because the file was a SolidWorks file converted to STL. Your thoughts.

You are using a Body and not a Component.  The process @g-andresen mentioned works on Components not Bodies.  Attached is an example of a component that has been copied with a Decal applied to only one.
