Matsuura MX-520

Matsuura MX-520

We have an MX-520 that we would like to post directly from HSMWorks to. We have used the Camplete so far and it is great, however the rest of our shop is ran through in house software and NCSimul so we want to get it integrated into our shop wide workflow.

Hello all,

We also have a MX-520 and MC-850.  The post works well, but I have been having a little trouble with two thing.

1. Home before table rotate.  There is an option to activate, but we also want the X & Y to go to G30 home before each table motion (3+2).  I have hard coded it into the POST, but that isn't the best.

2.  Fanuc error 5462 G68.2/G69.  I have used the G69 required before G68.2 (True) in the post.  It doesn't always add this.  So I hard coded it to make sure the before a G68.2 there is a G69.  But now I'm getting this error.  It seems that since I'm forcing the table rotation, but if the rotation is not required the error happens.  (spot drill and drill on the same rotated plane).

My old MasterCAM post works fine, and I have coded the same lines into the HSM post, but getting this error.  Super frustrating!

be aware of changing anything.....just pass your code

if u change "use hsc mode" to "on", it will crash your machine

dont change "use smoothing" to "on", it will crash ur machine....

have fun

I would love to see a working post for the Matsuura MX-520 with Fanuc 31i  control. Been keeping my eye on this thread for updates but efforts seem to have stalled.   Ive been using the Beta post with very limited success, I can only use it for posting single operations at a time. Good for adding a quick fix or test running an operation on the machine.

Like others have mentioned the lack of G69 alarms out the machine in between operations.

The way the post handles G54.4 P positioning is something that would also have to be worked out.

I wonder if the shop over at Pier 9 has a working post for their MX-330?

@RaftechEng a new version of this post is on its way to the library which should fix the issues mentioned here. Happy to hear your feedback on the updated post. Thanks
