I mean come on folks, its 2026 and this has been a request that I can find going clear back to 2018...
What I am describing is not a customization request. I am using:
- A Haas TM2-P — a production mill sold by one of the largest CNC manufacturers in the world
- A Haas HRT rotary table — standard 4th axis hardware used in shops everywhere
- The Haas Next Generation Control post — Autodesk's own, actively maintained post for this exact control
- A standard indexed tapping operation — one of the most common machining operations in existence
This is not an exotic configuration. This is a generic, real-world shop setup that Fusion 360 CAM explicitly claims to support. The fact that posting a tapping canned cycle fails the moment a machine definition includes a rotary axis — even when that axis is stationary and clamped during the operation — is a defect in the software, not a gap in my configuration.
