It would be really helpful if we could store more than just PDF files in the Document Management section (under Quality). Right now, it only supports PDFs, but we often have files in different formats—like Excel or Word—that we’d like to keep for documentation purposes. It would make things so much easier if we could upload and manage those directly in Fusion Operations.

Thank you for posting this idea. Indeed, the Documents Management feature only supports PDF files and thus it's a feature we can enhance.However, Production Orders support other formats (see help article).

Can you share more on which issues you face when attaching Excel sheets to production orders? (other than the fact those cannot be seen on the tablet)

Hi David, yes the issue with the excel sheets is that I cant see that on the tablet, so production floor workers are always unable to see information when I upload something in excel format

Thank you for your reply. In that case, is it correct to say that your idea is more like "Support Excel and Word files on tablet preview" other than "Document Storage"? Your initial idea led me to consider that you were referring to the Document Management menu (https://fusionoperations.autodesk.com/documentmanagement/). Or were you considering both approaches?

I was considering both approaches, support excel and word document in tablets and also having the possibility of storing more formats (word,excel,etc) in the document management menu

I feel that these could be two separated ideas, as some users may be looking in specific for the Documents Management folder, and others for the improved support on the tablet interface. Could you please create a new idea specific for improving the tablet interface to support Excel and Word files (while keeping this one for the Documents Management)?

It would be beneficial if we could upload more file types like .nc, .txt, .min .mpf, spf, and .ssb
