actual understanding of relative coordinates

it would make it much easier if like all other cad programs that you might display the coordinate of the mouse pointer relative to the origin this surely is the basis of anything that resembles mechanical design

I agree with this suggestion. Displaying the mouse pointer coordinates relative to the origin is a standard feature in many CAD applications and makes precise mechanical design much more intuitive. It would improve accuracy, reduce guesswork, and help users position and measure elements more efficiently, especially during detailed drafting tasks.
