Even a .001" diameter tool doesn't work!

A 1/8 or 1/16th endmill should easily give me a decent tool path.
What could be wrong?

It generates tool paths for every other section so far, just not this one pocket on both sides..

Did you look at the yellow warning signs? They might give a good clue of what is going on.
Message 3 of 26

Julien Charest-Lacombe it's just saying my stock was too small compared to my model.

It shouldn't stop the tool path generation
Message 4 of 26

check your heights?
Message 5 of 26

Tony Boersma yes they are correct.

Like I said, I can select adjacent pockets and it computes instantly.

This particular one.. No go

z-axis and x-axis face?
Message 7 of 26

Tony Boersma yes selected correct
Message 8 of 26

Save, close, reopen?
Message 9 of 26

Tony Boersma I'll try that

Stock too small could be indeed the problem. Why would it generate a toolpath to cut air. Make sure there is stock to cut there.

Simplest solution to these kinds of things is to share the project so those trying to help you can see the entire context.

If you cannot share it all, replicate the problem in a simple one that only retains the relevant affected contours and toolpaths.

Lucian Tomuța I tested it out by machining other features not in the STOCK box.

It generates fine.

It just doesn't do a full cutting simulation without stock in that area

Wot kind of led in you use?
Message 13 of 26

Samuel Lockhart then I would guess there would also have no pass to link somewhere? Did you try a different style of rampe? Maybe zigzag or plunge if it really needs it.
Message 14 of 26

Lukša Vlašić I even tried with none!
Message 15 of 26

Any chance you can share the file, even if only privately?
Email it to seth dot madore at autodesk dot com

I suspect it may have to do with your lead in settings and/or ramp values.
