Hi everyone,
I seem to be having a problem regarding the creation of tabs. At the moment, when I have tabs they create a strange seam that I can't seem to get out (other then post-producing of course).
Attached a picture of what happens (this is after sanding it already quite a bit) and the f3d file.
Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help!
Philip

And if it helps, here too is the NC file generated. work with a CNC Step High-Z and I control it via KinetiC-NC
This showed up in recent weeks in another thread, problem with rectangular tabs.
Tool under load of cut deflects from stock, when it encounters tab, it stops progressing in X or Y direction and loses the load, while moving up in Z axis it leaves mark because it is no longer deflected due to cutting pressure.
On the other side of tab tool plunges into solid stock and vibrates because it works as a drill bit for duration of the cut between top and bottom of tab.
Select triangular tabs and problem will go away because tool will not stop at the top of tab, it will feed in XZ or YZ direction over tabs, up in Z axis to the middle of tab then down in Z over other half while feeding in X or Y axis at the same time.
I am currently cutting in mdf. This is a problem that others have helped solve.
I want rectangular tabs.
This works for me. No more ghosting and nice surface finish.
