problems with version differences

so I've been doing a Udemy tutorial and the one with the confinement option is on the tutorial and the one without is the current version. I've been having problems figuring out what that exactly means and what to do with this version

Model is to add a profile to use instead of the 3d model, I'd leave that unchecked until you've figured out the basics. Front and back pretty much are just tate, select a face or edge for the front and back. Have looked at the Introduction To Turning in the help?
