Optimisation and errors on a Topographical model

Hi All,

So I am trying to cut out a topographical model from a lump of wood. Unfortunately I have been having some problems. First the program tells me that there are collisions between the bit and the stock. How can I tell the program that it should just cut through the stock (ie that it is not a collision)?

Secondly, when I made some changes (cant remember what exactly), it will not generate a toolpath. I have no idea why it cannot generate the toolpath. Can someone please advise me on this?

Third, is there any way to optimise the toolpaths that I have in the file?

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Change your Adaptive selection to "None" or Silhouette instead of selections.

Use 3D Morph instead of parallel. Using the same step over and speeds/feeds I got a half hour cycle rather than the 2 hr cycle you had

Thanks LibertyMachine, that is very helpful with the optimisation cycle.
But how can I get the code to stop telling me that there is a clash every
time it touches the stock to cut the part? Even when I have it
on silhouette there are at least 100 'collisions' between the bit and the
stock where it drives in to start cutting. I dont mind if it cuts more of
the stock but I dont want it to break a bit. Shoud I extend the outside
cutting boundary or something similar?
