Need help with machining open area

Hello, I have this part I am trying to machine out of 2"x2" 6061 square.

The area of the part on the bottom right corner need to be cut all the way out of the stock.

But I can not figure out what option to use. Would this be best done with the 2D adaptive clearing or 3D adaptive clearing?

I guess that because there is no geometry there is why I am having trouble getting it cut out.

Thanks for all the help!

To get this geometry correctly you'll need to turn the part on its side, so I'd suggest creating a second setup to do just that. In your 2D Adaptive you should also turn on Stock Contours on the Passes tab so it will take into account all of the stock as defined in the Setup.

Thanks Steinworks!

I will give that a try right now.
