Does the slot strategy support open chains?

Below you can see me selecting a single edge with the slot strategy and Fusion accepting that as an open chain. The strategy throws an error though upon generating:

Slot does permit an open chain, but it needs to have an opposing edge. One cannot just select a single line and call it good. What are you even trying to accomplish with that selection in the video, or was that just an example?

Just an example but I'll try and find an example of me selecting an open contour with an opposing edge that also does not generate.

Driving a slot off a single edge would be cool though.
