Hi Everyone,
My current problem is that I am trying to build a machine that has 6 axis on the head and one rotary axis. This is to export code to a Kuka KR120 with RoboDK as a Simulation program. How would I go about doing this" I have used the Autodesk preset 3 axis machine for outputting 3 axis code, and it work perfectly. I am just not sure how to model the kinematics for outputting 5 axis code to RoboDK.
Any Ideas?
Mike

Hi
You cannot define a machine that is all rotary axes
Fusion machine simulation is primarily designed to simulate milling machines(and lathes/millturns eventually) not robots.
as such generally you need to define XYZ linear axes and no more than two rotary axes
I'll add that If you are part of the Insider program there is a Robotics add-in that should do what you want.
Its a separate add-in specifically for Robots, Might be worth a look
That would be great! How do I go about doing this?
Thank you kindly for your response!
Hi, I am product manager for ABB robotics. I am also interested in this robot program!
I don't see how to apply for this in this forum. Can you please inform me?
To gain access to the Insider forum, it does involve an application process. You can apply here: https://feedback.autodesk.com/key/Fusion360Insider
