CNC Turning Custom Machine Kinematics

Hello alll,

I am trying to make a custom machine in Fusion 360, I am having a hard time understanding the kinematics and how it should be set up for my machine.

My Machine is a simple CNC Lathe with an 8 tool turret, Its Z axis is along the spindle and X is perpendicular to the spindle.

Can someone suggest what the kinematics will be? A Screen Shot will be much appreciated if possible.

All you really need is this:

That said, there's no inherent benefit to having a machine config at this point in time for any lathe. Machine Simulation doesn't work with lathes, so that's a non-starter. However, having a machine config does make it easier to post out code as you iterate thru any changes you want to make.

Hmm....that's incorrect, I think. I'm trying to copy what I've done for my Lynx and I can't get the Main Spindle to allow for an RPM range 🤔

I think this worked for me, so far I have not found any issues. Thankyou so much.
