Can't select edge for engraving

I am having issue with a carving project. I initially designed the artwork in Inkscape and imported the SVG file in F360. I can select the graphic, but cannot select the text (other than the very fist letter). When I try to select the edge, F360 selects the wall instead of the top edge. I can't figure out why.

here is a link to the model: https://a360.co/3IV1MwU

If you are using Fusion on a Personal License, sharing the A360 link doesn't allow for downloading. Please Export and share the Fusion file:
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

That worked! Thanks

What causes this issue?

Too many vertices leads to too many possible chaining solutions. Hence, Fusion just says "nope, don't know what you're looking for, so here's the closest one possible"

One other method is to select the sketch itself from the Browser tree. However, that will include features that may not be desired, such as outside profile and whatnot
