I've been using patterns on quite big parts for a while, and have noticed a few stutters during manufacturing in our portal cnc, the problem with suttering gets bigger as further away from file origo a part is. This is not specific to patterns tho. I can only reproduce it on Trace and not 2d contour, but I've seen the problem during machining with 2d contour also.
I've attached a file with two components in a single setup to show the problem, to highlight it I've put the second part way far away from origo.
When checking the toolpath on the part further away it gets a bit jiggly, or more like zick-zacky. The problem gets less noticable the closer to origo of the file you get.
I've been playing around with the different tolerance settings but cannot find anything that fixes the problem to get a smooth cut, except moving the part close to origo.
