2D Contour. Machining contour doesn't match model placement

Hi there.

I'm working on a project using FM Gear generator.

When i try to select contours for machining, the contour where it'll machine is different to the model placement, which will cause it to machine to destroy my other parts.

I've grounded the model. The cog - seen on the pic - will select and place perfectly.

Hope you can help me

Best regards

Morten

Well that's curious. Can you share your file?
File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Well, interesting. I'm not seeing that:

What happens if you open up the .f3d and put some toolpaths on that file instead?

Hmm. It worked. How strange!

Thanks for the help 🙂

It's a hard one to troubleshoot, as it doesn't seem reproducible in a shared file. If I was a gambling man, I'd point you in the direction of using Joints to place your parts. I've seen this before with files that have many "Move" commands in the timeline.
