Hi

I have a question about the AdCefWebBrowser application located in Username/appdata/locale/autodesk/webdeploy/(lots of numbers)/Win64.

I helped a friend load fusion 360 and he  was getting errors about a bad path to the above application.  I checked the path and found that the app was not there.   I have fusion 360 running on my machine ( both win 7 ) so I pulled my app and dropped it into the directory on his machine.

Here is the the strange part,  within a couple of seconds, the app disappeared.   I repeated this many time, checked permissions, made sure I was logged on as administrator, but each time I moved the app to the folder, it sat there for a few seconds then disappeared.

I guess I could uninstall and reinstall, but my last uninstall failed ( could not find uninstaller) so I erased all autodesk files ( nothing is the registry though)

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Mike C

I would advise a reinstall. When you uninstall Fusion, ensure you follow all of the clean uninstall procedure here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How...

If you struggle on any part of the uninstall, please post for assistance. Dont skip

Hi George
I'll give this a try - It has a few step that I did not do. It will be a
few days from now. One note - when I tried this the first time, the
uninstall did not work - could not find the uninstaller file.

Thanks for the reply. The clean uninstall steps should remove all required files (it should ask you to remove files / folders which the uninstaller should remove).

Keep us updated with how this goes 🙂
