Update on Tool Materials and Coatings?

I'd like to request that there be an update that includes a more robust choice for tool materials. The only choice for coating is Ti, and there are so many more that are common. Thanks for considering!

To what end?

The dev team IS working on a tool library that supports multiple speeds and feeds, so you can simply have a generic library of "tools" (drill, endmill, ball endmills etc) and have many different settings.

Tools with coatings run at different feeds/speeds than those without...

Absolutely correct! However, Fusion is not (and I hope to God never) in the business of recommending speeds and feeds to the users. That is up to you to provide. The description tab is a great place to capture the info as it relates to your tool:
