Quick question on a problem I was working on from an older post.  When you turn on feed optimization, I thought fusion shows the part of the tool path that is slowed down by displaying the slowed down piece in yellow.  Does this mean I have feed optimization setup incorrectly as the tight radius below is not displayed in yellow.

Thanks... Richard

If you change the Maximum Direction Change value you can get what I think you want:

Thanks so much Laurens,

I realized that I uploaded the wrong file Fusion file (new file attached).  Technically they are the same, just a different end mill of the same size.  Just a few questions:

1.  On the correct file with a different 1/8" end mill, I had to reduce the angle to 1 degree.  Not sure why the 5-degree setting you used did not work.

2.  Your reduced federate is 3.75 ipm, my system default is 6 imp.  Did you override this setting.

3.  Lastly, is a reduced feed distance of .025" enough.  I have limited experience with this and curious if it should be like .050

The feed distance is situationally dependent. Watch the simulation to ensure it slows down before the engagement angle increases too much
