Problems with 2D adaptive clearing

Having some trouble with 2d adaptive clearing on this AR Lower, I have been battling it for almost three hours now, I have tried several different things, can anyone offer any help?

I've got a screencast in the works showing how you can walk around the part and continually add to the 2D Adaptive chain giving you the information you need. However, there is a problem with your model. It's not stitching together very well and it will give you problems aplenty down the line. The way it sits right now, it's not a "solid". I mean, you can still do a LOT with it, it's just going to require a bit more care and troubleshooting

In this video, I walk around the part selecting as I go along. Later on, I try a second method, but quickly realize it won't be successful . I wanted to project the outline of the body onto a sketch, but it was going to be more difficult than I had time to repair and present in an orderly fashion. Too bad, it's a good method.

 I attempted the sketch layout after the stich command and once I put my chain around the sketch the 2D path did not full rough the part. I tried chain selecting on the piece itself and that didn't work for me either, I am unsure why I can not duplicate your results.

No, don't do the sketch method. The reason it didn't work is because the sketch contour is still open in many areas, to an amount imperceptible to the human eye, even at full zoom. Go with the first method in the video, where I select an edge, click it again and open up the dialog box to allow you to add onto it
