Hi.

Ran into a problem where using  Ramp into material to make the start of a pocket

leaves material in the center. Picture & fusion file included if you are interested in taking a look?

Why would this happen? Is the feed rate too low or something.

The CNC machine is a Lead 1010 (Open Builds)

Spindle speed in 17000rpm

using a 1/4" 2 flute spiral up cut bit

cutting feed rate 100 in/min

Ramp feed rate  50in/min

Plunge feed rate 30in/min

Step down .25 in

Step over 0.05 in

I don't think this is a Fusion issue, but more likely a machine and tool clamping issue. What is your machine and tool collet setup?

Hey...

Open Builds Lead 1010 using a Makita  Router RT0701C 1-1/4 HP

I'm assuming it uses a proprietary design. Not an ER collet

I was told it was a backlash issue but it is still doing it after tightening

the Anti backlash Nut on the Z AXIS.

Also  the wood Stock is screwed to the spoilboard.

@frederic_jannot could you share a file that is giving you this issue?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply
