Post Processor

I'm having an issue with the "preview" NC post. I'm not able to make it reorder the tools to minimize tool change. However if I switch back to the old post processor and select that option, it will reorder them.

Any help is much appreciated.

Could you share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Ah, I think I see what's going on. You've created multiple instances of each tool. I'm guessing that you selected the same tool each time from your initial library. The proper way is to select it (the tool) for the 1st toolpath that requires that tool and then selecting it from the Active Document library for any subsequent needs.

The NC Program looks at the unique "Tool ID" number that is created in the background. The old Post Process method looks at name and tool number.

Ah that makes a lot more sense now. That is how I generally pick the same tools, so I will change that up.

Thank you for your help!
