Hello Support@Fusion360,

Since a few months or so Fusion seems to have trouble remembering previous used paths to post Toolpaths to.

This annoying if you want to quickly change something while working on a project.
I now have to click from the standard posting path which I don't use to where I want the tool path to be, (10 clicks in in total) where in the previous years every time I posted something in a particular place it would remember that path.

We have discussed the issue here:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/default-location-for-post-process-files/m-p/10...

But this wasn't picked up by anyone at Fusion, so I posted the bug here. It seems this is a Mac related issue.
We work on Mac mini M1's (latest Big Sur) and a MacBook Pro 2019 Intel, on Big Sur as well.
I hope someone can take a look in this, Thanks for looking!

Hi @jaccostuitje ,

Thanks for the feedback.

We are aware of some problems with NC programs output locations and are actively working on a HotFix, which we aim to release to the public in the next few days. Hopefully that will sort the problem out.

Sorry about this.

Cheers

Paolo

Wondering if the issue of the Post Processor not remembering last posting path has been solved. Does anybody has a solution for the Mac?

I think this has been resolved in a HotFix released mid-March. Are you still having the same issue on Mac?

Still happening for me. I am in Fusion 360 (2.0.10148) on a iMac with OS 10.15.7. Some how when saving always goes to a folder on a Dropbox folder that I have deleted and not used in months.

Thanks for your help.

Very strange. I haven't had (or heard of) this issue since the HotFix. However, I'm on a Windows laptop.

As I can't replicate the problem, could you please record some sort of a quick video to show the issue occurring? This way I can report it to our development team even without being able to reproduce it myself.

Thanks
Paolo
