Need help with 2D Adaptive Toolpath

Hello, 

I'm trying to run a 2D adaptive tool path, and I can't seem to get the tool path to do I want. It seems to get maybe 90% through, and when it approaches the fillets, it looks like the tool path changes. I want it to take little bites all the way to the end of the part. I thought I was getting the hang of this software, apparently, I'm not.

Its doing exactly what it should! 

if you just want a slot mill, draw a rectangle as your contour selection instead.

Oh, it's still taking little bites out of the material, it's just a deceptive look at first glance. The selection tells it that it's open at the large end, so it makes an exit into that space and gives the visual of "large chunks".

It does look deceiving. I will give it a go in the morning. You inspire confidence...and I need a little at times.
