Hey!

So i am trying to program paths for this tool but i am hitting a wall with how to get the walls finished vertically, i know you can get it done by doing small step downs on the z axis but I don't want to do that, I want to have my y axis offset so I can cut the whole wall along the x axis while the 4th axis rotates.

Is this even possible with fusion currently?

Thanks!

You used to be able to do this with wrap tool path in 2d operations, although they have been moving things with 4/5 axis behind a paywall recently so I don’t know if this is still possible. If you don’t have it resolved later this week I’ll take a look when I get into the office.

In the past I’ve done this with a spiral sketch using the desired step down. Use that sketch with the pencil operation or split into sections and use 2d profile wrapped.

good luck,

John

Give Advanced Swarf a look, it does have 4-axis ability. You will need to have signed up for the Insider program (which is free) to gain access to Preview Features.
