Lost settings after logging in on a different devise

Hi all,

Yesterday I forgot to take my laptop in to work so I had no choice but to sign in on a different devise.. I've logged in today on the devise i usually use and all my settings are set different and most frustratingly is all the tool library's that i had created have disappeared.

Is there a way of me getting back the tool library's and returning my settings to how i had it?

Hi -

If you're using the same login, your preferences should be synchronized to the other machine from the Cloud. Could you send me your diagnostic logs? Maybe there's some sort of error happening that's preventing that.

As for your tool libraries, where were they stored? In the "Cloud" section? Or in "Local"?

Thanks it would be great if you could figure this out..

I believe the tools were stored in a Cloud library. I can see the tool library's in the assets file which hopefully means its something that can be restored.

Have you checked whether the Enable Cloud Libraries preference is enabled? Maybe that got reset if something affected your settings?

Thanks so i have now enabled cloud in preference's - but my settings and all my default user options inside toolpaths are still not set correctly

@jeff.pek is there a reason as to why everything was reset? Can i reset it to how i had it without manually inputting it all?

Certainly not a good reason. I've seen intermittent reports of similar problems, but I have no idea why it happens. It may be possible to copy the options from one machine to another -- they are stored in a file called "NGlobalOptions.xml", but it may be tricky to get it to not overwrite this again anyway.

I'll ask around about this issue, to see if others have better suggestions.
