Haas TM-1 Post Processing

Im new to Fusion 360 and the CAM function appears very interesting to me.  I am currently using EZ-Cam but am going to switch to Fusion so I can post all of my machines, mill, lathe, plasma table, 3d printer directly from fusion...anyway, I have a 2001 Haas TM-1 that I am trying to post to using the generic "pre next gen" post processor fusion has.. the problem I have is that instead of posting my WCS as G54, it post G154 P48... on my machine, G154 is for 5 axis reverse tap canned cycle, and as such, my machine alarms out because there is no F code for the canned cycle... EZ-Cam uses a slightly modified Haas VF3 processor.   Is there any way I can edit the generic haas processor in fusion to just post G54,55,56 etc... for the WCS instead of the G154?

Hi Seth,  I just put the number 54.  (it turned red when I put "G54".

Put in "1" (minus the "")

The way work offsets work (when not using a Haas machine configuration, of which no lathe configs are yet available) is this:

1 = 54

2 = 55

3 = 56

etc etc

Thank you Seth!  that fixed my problem!  I wonder if I could ask you one other question?  I use a precision 2" tool pre-setter and in my other cam program, there's a field to set that surface at a 2" offset.  that way I dont have to touch every tool off and then lower them all by 2" before setting the tool offset on the machine.  in fusion 360 cam, is there something similar to that?

Hmm..

You'd have to project a point 2" from the face of the part and then select "Selected Point". Take a look at this sample file.

Hi Seth,

           That looks like a turn setup?  I was referring to milling.  On the other cam, I can specify the surface at an offset and it doesnt affect the work.. in other words, I tell it that the surface is 2" higher, but all of the worksteps and clearance offsets still work off of the actual model surface.  like this.

Doh! Yeah....TM...mill. Oops, my bad.

Idea is still the same, project a point 2" above the part and select that instead

If I do that, will the tools try to "machine" inside that 2" air gap?  I dont really know how to explain it, but If I have a mill set to plunge .5" deep and it thinks the surface is 2" above the model, will the mill only move down to 1.5" above the model and think its plunged .5"?

Nope, take a look at this file instead.

All the values WILL be at least negative 2", which should be inline with what your other CAM software is giving you.
