At the moment, there are no lathes or turn/mill machines in the library. Why? Fusion does not yet support Machine Simulation of these machines, but we're working on it 🙂

I'm finding more and more that Autodesk seems to focus on the newer or latest technologies and less on what shops are actually using. a small amount of shops are using the latest and greatest. I wish Autodesk would work on improving the "everyday tasks" we use in Fusions Cam.  Master Cam, Gibbs Cam and others have had for 20 plus years.

Such as...? Machine simulation for lathes is long overdue, and we recognize that shortcoming and are working at rectifying it with urgency.

Simulation is fine, I don't sit in front of a computer all day, This is just a tool to get my machines to make parts my customer need, the less time I spend here the more time I get to make parts. Improve the everyday tasks. that the most important thing to me., I will try to get a short list together.

AUTODESK HAVE A MILL TURN POST YET FOR HAAS ST20? I see a generic mill-turn machine in setup but what post would I use?

Yep, we got em:

There are no machine configurations yet, since Machine Simulation does not yet support lathes or Turn/Mill machines.

Oh, you most certainly CAN use the post processors to program a turn/mill lathe! You just can't use Machine Simulation (just regular simulation)

Inventor/HSM and Fusion use the same post processor. You can find the ST-20Y Post Processor HERE

Download it to your computer and link the location of the post in your  Post Library:

No idea. Could you share your solid model here? I'd ask you for your Fusion file, but you're using Inventor. Has your company decided against going with Fusion 360 for your design and manufacture needs?
