Extending 2d Adaptive Contour

I am trying to do a 2d Adaptive Contour of the part below.  It is nested in a sheet of plywood so I cannot have it extend to stock.  Is there a way to have it still plunge, but extend out beyond the outer contour of the model.  The outside corners are going to get rounded over and since the material is going to be removed when I profile cut the piece, it wouldn't hurt to just extend this adaptive out a little bit.

Try it with 3D adaptive just set a tool and nothing else for a start it should produce a toolpath that goes in and out from end to end using a genital sweep into and out of the cut.
