Engraving errors

Gday all

Have been Vcarving using ENGRAVE without any problems for 2 years, however since the last upgrade (sic) of Fusion and using existing previous sketches, the tool does not handle curved edges at all.    It goes to the correct depth but does not enter ( by raising the toolpath ) in any corner.    My sketches have a mixture of straight sided pockets  - straight sided and curved edges and curved edges pockets.   

Have been using as a hobbyist but decided to purchased a month just to see if a full blown FUSION 360 would overcome the problem - NO.    Loaded Fusion 3 times - new computer and fusion loaded all to no avail.

Methinks there is a bug in the new version but someone might know a work around.   

Would appreciate any help.

Indeed seems that Autodesk either doesn't have people that can handle this issue, doesn't want to solve or it's a feature that doesn't bring enough revenue to the brand.

I'm here with all to celebrate 4 months of this issue.

This answer probably gonna be marked as a solution, as previously, but we are still begging for a solution.

Tengo el mismo problema y la misma necesidad de respuesta desde MAYO.
Nunca vi un problema sostenerse por tanto tiempo, me pregunto si realmente se estará evolucionando en este asunto. Creo que sería bueno tener alguna novedad, siempre con el debido respeto y deseo de éxito al equipo encargado de encontrar la solución.

I believe this issue has been fixed, and you should see some improvement in the next release.

Buenas tardes,

Aquí adjunto un ejemplo de que aún no funciona la herramienta con "ARCOS NO TANGENTES".
Se debe tener en cuenta que el desarrollo en el ámbito del dibujo conceptual, especialmente en el diseño de logotipos, es muy frecuente que se utilicen formas simples con intersecciones, como lo son los arcos y rectas, que generan una "intersección" que no es visible actualmente por el sistema de "Grabado".

 

Con "Splines" no hay problema aparente.

I don’t speak Spanish as well but all I do is open the Spanish conversation
and get google to translate the file and VOLA it’s translated for me.
I installed GOOGLE TRANSLATION and it worked no problems.
If you don’t have it installed ask your 6 year old grandson to do it -
these kids are genius at doing this!!!!

También, yo abría las conversaciones con el traductor del foro, pero últimamente no me funciona la utilidad con el navegador "Safari", creo que desde "Google chrome" no hay problema.

Yo entiendo bien el inglés técnico, entiendo todo lo que escriben aquí, pero aún me cuesta redactar en su idioma, y no quiero ofenderlos con faltas ortográficas. Tengo muchos amigos de habla inglesa, algunos son sus compatriotas obviamente, y realmente es muy gratificante conversar en su idioma, más si se trata de dibujo técnico, fabricación digital, innovación o desarrollo tecnológico.

Algo que recomiendo es el seguir aprendiendo, seguir estudiando, yo lo hago con una app de idiomas, y creo que a día de hoy, cualquiera de ellas es genial para seguir avanzando intelectualmente.

Se aproxima el Autodesk University, ciertamente. ¡Estoy ansioso por las conferencias!

waited for the last revision ( that's 3 revisions from when first
detected ) and the problem still exists.

But keep trying please as this facility (ENGRAVE) is most important.

Yep, this problem should be solved in the latest update. If everyone in this thread could check their files to see if everything is "as it should be", that would be great. If there are still issues, I will reopen the (or create new) ticket(s)

Want to say a huge thanks, last days have been very busy but I submited for Insider program also. Gonna have a check as soon as got some time.

Sorry for the harsh comments sometimes, but it was a topic that took some time to solve and who uses it constant suffered a bit.

I have just downloaded the latest update and am delighted that,   After spending all day using and try to break ENGRAVE, I have failed,    It worked without a failure and seemed to me to much faster.

Most of my files work again, which is fantastic! I'm still having issues with this super simple engrave. I'm getting straight lines rather than a curved toolpath.

I redrew it and reprogrammed it in a new part, just in case there was something funky left in the original part file and had the same results. If I roll it back to a previous version from a few months ago, it does work, but if I make any changes at all to the part and have to regenerate, it breaks again.
