Copied Setup Post Process Won't Run On Machine

I'm making a classical guitar bridge on a CNC Shark using one of the post processors found on this forum (I believe it is a tweaked version of Seth Madore's).

I post processed the tool paths and they ran fine.  I later went in and tried to optimize the toolpaths and machining time a bit.   I copied the setup (maybe duplicated,  I don't remember which), and reworked the settings, then PP'd the tool paths and they won't run on the machine.   The old TAP files run fine, and even new files made from the original setup run OK.   Is there some setting that I'm missing?

I've attached the f3d file,  you can see the two setups,  the old one called "Works OK" and the 2nd called "Optimized".

Any help is much appreciated

Hi Bill

See attached, I've used both the attached post processors.  I'm pretty sure both will work with original setup, but I'm certain the Piranha_new  has worked before.

Okay, I am wondering if the machine does not like the brackets inside brackets that the second set up has. I've seen where machines did not like special charactors like underscoress even if they would inside the brackets.

Try removing the (2). It's in 4 places.

Hi Bill,

I did a quick test run and it seems to work.  I'll try some more tonight and report back if there are any issues.  Who'da thunk it!

I appreciate the help.

Great. I've seen some strange things over the years 🙂

Hi, hope its OK to respond here. I have a Next Wave Shark HD510 and I've been testing two different Post Processors in Fusion (one found here on autodesk (NWA), the other (DDCSV11) provided elsewhere). The Autodesk version has milled a test square path fine, but failed to follow a drilling sequence I performed today. The other won't produce a square square but drilled the desired cam set up perfectly. I've looked them over (its all like Sanskrit to me), they are very different formats and I'm not sure which one would be the best to target for modification or how to identify the problem areas. Part of the issue could be that I'm using a spindle with VFD and the Piranha isn't outfitted for such. Any help would be appreciated. I plan on reading the Post Processor Training Guide, but at the moment I'm a babe in the woods.

Ok I found another post processor here, from skidsolo;

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/hsm-post-processor-forum/sharkcnc-post-anyone/m-p/6084324/highlight/f...

Its the only one I've found so far that has run both of my test paths as directed. Here's hoping to good results as I move forward next week.

Yeah,  I could never get the drill toolpath to work.  I usually just use the bore toolpath when I need a hole.   I'll have to give the other post processor a try.
