best 2d pocketing whith built in finish passes?

A fair percentage of our parts have pockets for bolts or other hardware and are generally pre-drilled before hand so was looking at the different pocketing strategy and see some have finish passes with cutter comp and some do not. We run several inserted coolant through drills, so sometimes there is more material left then what a simple contour finish pass will handle so trying to review all the different tool paths available.

I did look for a video that shows each in detail but no luck so far.

2D Pocketing routines have the option for a cutter comp finish pass. This is accessed through a little toggle in the dialog:

Sorry, I was comparing the 2D pocket against the 2D adaptive clearing but looks like the adaptive has the better tool path but is a roughing op only?

Yes, 2D Adaptive is purely a roughing toolpath. It has not means of producing a finish pass. Of course, you could do a right-click and create Derived Operation from it and select 2D Contour, but it's not as "built-in" as one would like
