45 cut atend of material

I am trying to cut a 1x1" square aluminum profile with a 45 degree end cut. The setup is shown below. I will probe the x_min, y_max, z_max of the profile, then want the cutter (say a 1/2 end mill) cut the 45 degree face.  I am having a hard time setting up the cut. How would you do that? Thank you.

I did it with multiple depth of cuts, you may want to change them.  Model is attached.

Thank you, that works and I was able to replicate it. Just to make sure I understand the important thing here is to check "stock contour"? Without it the cutter wanted to go around the perimeter of the stock.

@lvaszar no, you don't need Stock Contours or have to select the entire contour:

I cut the square ends to length with a band saw, but I don't enjoy fiddling and futzing with the saw angles and they are nowhere near as precise as cutting on a mill anyways; and it only takes 2 min on the mill. I really want these brackets to help an 8020 frame be square.

Very helpful, thank you. When you select the contour, how come it does not select the whole perimeter of the piece? I see  that only the cut is selected. I don't understand how to do that.

Huh, it appears that ScreenCast didn't capture my keyboard clicks. Press the ALT key and make a selection, it will select that single entity, not the full chain.

Thank you. Using Alt-click is the definitive answer, and I hope this will help some other noob like myself in selecting only one part of the contour.
