Need ability to change item classification via script

If we had the ability to change an item classification via script in conjunction with the ability to turn off the option to change the classification of the item in the GUI, this would open the door to several ideas for using FLC where it currently lacks.

For example, spawning a task from a workflow transition that adapts fields based on what type of task it is. This would be accomplished by setting the tasks classification by a script.

Hi @ThomasRambach,

We will review this internally. Thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify: what you're looking for here is for a way to set the class (classify) the item using the scripting engine, but also a separate permission of sorts to forbid other users (say belonging to other groups) to manually change the class from the UI (and just the class)?

Let me know.

@giliar.defriesperez that's correct. The item classification selection should have an option to be like other fields where you can set Editable to True, False or 'Creation Only'.

I'm using item classification for creating tasks associated with another workspace. If I can have the parent workspace set the task classification through script only then I can have a single task workspace with tasks that can adapt based on what the intended task is.
