Modern UI: Aggregation Sort Grouping for Grid Tab Results

In Classic UI on the Grid Tab you have the ability to set the Aggregation Sort Grouping - to essentially create sub-totals of values within the grid.  This feature is missing from the Modern UI.

This feature is very help to in viewing and understanding what you have in your grid, especially when there are lots of row items.  Plus this is a feature existing FLC customers in the Classic UI would expect to have in the Modern UI going forward.

Yes agree and is relied upon for some of our processes for evaluating tasked based on those summaries. One of the reasons we have not moved globally to the Modern interface.

 

Also having the ability to filter the grid rows similar to excel filtering or the item detail filtering would be great as well

With the latest closing of idea submissions that were based on the Classic UI, wanted to push this idea again to promote this idea for implementation in the modern UI. Any feedback on when enhancements are expected for the Grid Tab in the Modern UI

Concur. I just realized this feature existed in the classic interface. I've been pulling my hair out trying to do the same thing via a script in the "modern" interface.

I am hoping this gets pushed to the modern UI, as well.  This was a function that I relied on heavily in the classic UI, and was slightly dumbfounded when I noticed it was no longer available.  I have been scrambling try to figure out a work-around.

Yes there was a lot of initial development on the grid prior to the Modern UI implementation. We have migrated over from the classic but still have to switch back when we need information such as group totals etc. from the grid details, so as far as I know there are no easy work-arounds. Some totaling and other group lists can be processed and updated in Item detail fields using scripts (I have done a couple using on-demand scripts) but it is not a flexible.

 

Glad to see others promoting interest in grid updates for the Modern Interface as it has been a while since any real improvement to this area. Thanks for the comments.

@giliar.defriesperez  I have been trying to get this to work in either classic or modern, but it doesn't seem to work in either - is this what you would expect?

This used to work in the Classis UI...even back to the Datastay days as we had many customers using this feature.  When MUI came out this was removed, thus the age of the original post.  Its a feature that many of my customers would like to have back.

We are currently reviewing this functionality in Modern UI, and assessing an implementation path for it. I'm moving it to Under Review and hoping to come back with further news soon.
