Fusion Manage should support true Task dependency management similar to Microsoft Project, where changes to a task automatically update all dependent tasks downstream.
Requested Capabilities:
Automatically cascade dates when a Task's duration, Start date, or Due date changes.
- Provide a warning showing the impact on downstream tasks before changes are committed.
Support dependency logic across task sequences (Start -to-Start , Finish-to-Start, Finish-to-Finish).
- Automatically identify successor tasks that can start early when predecessor tasks are completed ahead of schedule.
- Notify assignees when tasks become eligible for an Early Start.
- Display Early Start opportunities on task dashboards with clear visual indicators.
Business Value: This enhancement would reduce manual schedule maintenance, improve visibility into project impacts, and allow teams to accelerate execution by taking advantage of early task completions while maintaining dependency integrity throughout the workflow.
