Moving Folders

How come I can't move entire folders around in the data panel or, better yet, drag and drop items?  It makes spring cleaning so much more tedious when I have to create a destination folder, move individual files or selections, then delete the now empty, old folder!  Is this a feature we will see fixed in the future?

Thanks for the feedback.  We are working on making it easier to move data around while you are in Fusion 360.  For now, we do have an easier method than what you explained above.  You can move entire folders to other projects/folders using Fusion Team.  I have included a short video to show the workflow.

This consistently gives 'cannot move selected folder' errors.

I'm having the same problem.  I cannot move folders to new locations but if I go in and move every file individually it works fine.   There has to be a better way.  The basic file functions in fusion are awful.  I can't believe they haven't done anything to make it better.

Edit:  Mine is working now.  However, it looks like it's stuck transferring the files as the loading circle just keeps going around.  If I click off of it, it goes away and the files have moved.

It's kinda sad, that such an advanced function like MOVING FILES doesn't work in Fusion. I will reconsider if extending the license is a good idea...

How long does it take to "work on making it easier to move data around while you are in Fusion 360?" I don't believe you. You will lose customers this way. The updates you actually have made recently have done nothing but make things worse to use and broken legacy features. Like the file version history now gives an error message half the times you try to open it. And it no longer has thumbnails, so have fun opening 10 or more versions trying to find the one you're looking for... Dear god
