Hi All,
I am struggling with how to describe this -- so am including some images. I am trying to create a circuit board from a sketch in an object design.
Create --> derive pathway causes crashes -- reports filed.
Create--> 3d-PCB generates a board. I can integrate it in 2D design but it fails when coming back to 3D view.
Attached is an image of the original sketch profile (upper left) , the 2D board view (upper right) and the 3D view (lower left) and the 3D edit board view (lower right). ( i can't upload images to the forum ???? -- just errors)
FWIW this is my second design attempt -- the inner circle originally did not have the 3 'arms' -- in that case the board was just the inner circle.
In board edit view I can only select the 3 pie pieces -- I am wondering if this has to do with the hole being near the centre of the board? As though the algorithm is working from middle out? Perhaps the can't be done ? (or i have to add the hole later - frustrating because it make need to be a specific cut out) .
I have watched several videos and scrolled forum -- i think I am following the right procedure -- a simple solid board works.

Richard @yqliu any thoughts on how to resolve this?

I found the issue ... in the original fusion sketch, part of the sketch was projected. The projected lines worked fine in fusion as a sketch -- I could extrude the shape and thought all was ok. The sketch linked fine to 2D board view. Going in other direction (2d back to 3d) caused problems.
After several restarts and attempts, a more verbos error suggested that maybe the board shape wasn't closed in the original sketch (illogical given extrude worked). I decide to remove projected lines (unlink and replace with arcs). And now forward and back translation of boards in 3d and 2d works.
Now if i could just get 3d packages to show up .....
