Moving parts on a schematic to a new page without disturbing layout?

Is there a way to move parts on a schematic to a new page without completely wrecking the layout? More than once I've had a board grow and grow and I've wanted to break the schematic up to a couple pages, but cutting and pasting completely rips up the pcb layout. Please tell me there is a way to cleanly move things around. It's annoying as hell that cutting and pasting a part not only kills all the layout wires, but the part jumps back to the origin off the board.

Hi @chris.eganY2EK3 ,

I hope you're doing well. The key here is to use the MOVE command. Don't use Cut and Paste. There's really very few use cases where you need Cut. So here's the workflow.

1) Select what you want to relocate
2) Now move the group, it should be floating on your mouse cursor

3) Go into the sheets area at the bottom of Fusion

4) Select what sheet you want to place the circuitry on

5) When you hover back onto the sheet the group is is there and you can left click to place it.

There will be no change to the layout and you'll be able to re-organize the schematic.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Thank you. I'm glad there is already a workflow and I just didn't know how to use it.

I can honestly say I rarely use the move command since it's faster to simple click an object and drag, so the few things I had tried with move didn't work.
