I have created single component (diode) with 3 footprints. Component has set attribute VALUE to SS24. Symbol of diode contains >NAME and >VALUE. When first variant on the list is placed on schematic, everything looks great: NAME is replaced by D4, and value is taken from attributes (SS24). But every other variant have value replaced by component name plus variant name. How to fix this?

Hi _Marek,
I hope all is well upon receipt of my message. I want to let you know how much we appreciate your participation in the Fusion Electronic Forums. The expected behavior can be accomplished, but you must highlight each variant, create the attribute, and define its value. You only created the attribute for the primary variant, not the other 2.
I hope the attached image provides a better insight.
Thanks again for your participation.
Hello Edvin.
Thank you for your advice, it works! 👍
I was not aware of that attributes are related to component's footprint instead of whole component. This is good point to make UI more user friendly. The title of Attributes dialog contains footprint name in brackets. Potentially I should notice this, but I didn't. My suggestion is to add drop down list as on the attached picture. No one will have any doubts about what the attributes refer to.
BTW
What is functional difference for attribute declared as constant vs variable?
