I open an electronics project, this can take 20+ seconds to open all the related files. I don't want to just sit there twiddling my thumbs so I try to do some work in another application, or navigate to a reference document in Windows Explorer, etc.
The problem is that Fusion constantly steals focus, you start checking email and fusion steals focus. You go back to email and Fusion steals focus again. It is very frustrating.
BTW, this same thing happens when you are opening Fusion itself. Let's day you launch Fusion and it takes a while because it is updating. You move start working on something else and Fusion keeps stealing focus. This is very frustrating.
This is not a big deal but makes for a very frustrating user experience. There is no perceivable benefit to having Fusion steal focus for every little thing it does, IMHO.

Hello @Jeff_Birt , thanks for providing your feedback. I encourage you to post this kind of general feedback to the Fusion 360 Feedback Hub or Fusion 360 Support channel. The Fusion 360 product managers will evaluate all of the feedback.
Hi @Jeff_Birt,
Yes, i equally find this frustrating. The product management & development are aware of this issue and are looking to see how we can address this in future updates.
Again, apologies here, but it is being looked at.
Kind Regards
Kieran
A year on and the experience in the latest update is worse than the previous version. What's the deal? Is this _actually_ being looked at, or Autodesk just don't care? Doesn't make me the least bit inclined to buy a full license.
FYI, on macOS I noticed that Fusion 360 comes into the foreground consistently under at least any of these conditions:
- upon laptop screen brightness turning down all the way to 0
- change laptop screen from 0 to brighter
- opening an app on my iPhone such as the Messages or Contacts app which then triggers the Apple Handoff/Continuity feature where you see the icon of the app in the macOS Dock (to be clear, Fusion is on macOS but my phone is synced with my computer and it's the computer's dock that changes and then Fusion comes into focus)
Thanks!
