Electronics Cooling Simulation - Heat Sink Idealization not working

Hi there,

I am performing my first explorations with the electronics cooling simulation of a server. Unfortunately, I am running into an unexpected error. It appears that the heat sink being used to cool our PSU is not simulating properly and is instead acting as a solid object. In other words, no air is able to travel between the fins, despite a fan being attached to them directly. The fan is labled as such with an air flow of 43 CFM. The heatsink is labled as such and is modeled as Stainless steel.

I believe I'm following the recommended design guidelines for an idealized heatsink. I've used a constant pitch, blade direction, and blade thickness. My only theories on this front involve the chamfers on the front side of the heat sink and or the small lip at the bottom of the outermost fin (since its not flush). Could one of these features be the issue? Do the fins need to all be the same length? I have 3 heat sinks total in the model, perhaps one of these other heat sinks is causing the issue for every heatsink?

I read in this forumn post that sometimes the "idealized heatsink" option does not need to be used. Could this help?

I am nervous to try again because I've already burned up 12 tokens ($36) on this error. Hopefully someone from the autodesk team can chime in. Thanks in advance!
