Crash when refusing to create an electronics design

Hello,

My system crashes whenever I follow the following steps:

1. select .sch and .brd files of a same design and click open

2. answer "no" when asked to create an electronics design

3. once schematic has been opened, answer "no" again to the second request of creating an electronics design while opening the board file.

4. crash

Workaround:

1. open only schematic and answer no

2. open board file and answer no

Hi,

Thanks for reporting the crashes. I looked up your crash report history and found zero reports associated with your email address.

Do you see the crash report dialog and send them in? These are critical for getting our attention about crashes. If you have a report number or can repeat the crash I can dig a lot deeper.

Hi,

I have submitted many reports in the past after logging in, maybe there is a privacy setting somewhere that hides my email.

I've just recreated the crash. With this version of Fusion, or with this specific crash,  the crash report dialog does not show up.

Is there a way to manually find the crash log and submit it?

Regards

Hi @FrankEagle ,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Could you please take a screenshot to show where do you select the .sch and .brd to click open?

Did you right click the schematic and board file from Data Panel and then click Open? Or in other place?

Looking forward to your feedback.

Best regards,

Helen

From the data panel, select both .sch and .brd files, then right click and open.

Got it @FrankEagle .

Do you still able to reproduce this crash? Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce it in our end.

Do you mind letting us know the crash reported ID you sent to us? Or the email address you input for the crash report.

Let me send private message to you to follow up.

Best regards,

Helen
