Change PCB Origin in Assembly

I have an assembly of multiple PCBs and mechanical parts. Previously, I could use the "Edit in Place" mode and edit the board outline to change the origin of the PCB. Now, the menu only allows for the selection of a profile, as you can see in the first image below. As you can see in the second image, the x-axis is aligned poorly in respect to the PCB. I would prefer the bottom border to be the x-axis.

How can I change this as of now?

Hi @jason_frauchigerWC7YH,

I hope you're doing well. I wonder how this is looking in the 2D PCB? I'll contact my colleagues to see if they can provide more insight into how to best handle this.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Hello @jorge_garcia

Thank you for your answer. Below you find a screenshot of the 2D PCB where the origin lies in the red rectangle. The reason why the origin lies there is, that the PCB ended at this point in a previous iteration. After increasing its size I could not change it anymore.

Best regards

Hello @jason_frauchigerWC7YH ,
Once you have created a 2D PCB from a 3D PCB, you cannot change the origin anymore. Here is a workaround for you to change the board:
1. Create a new sketch from the 3D PCB board outline in a new design. There are different ways to do it. For example, you can export the outline as dxf and then import it.
2. Create a new independent 3D PCB from this sketch. Remember to select the origin as you need this time.

3. Link this 3D PCB to your existing 2d PCB.
4. You will see the outline is updated. But you will have to rotate all components manually.
