Hello,
I am trying to edit a package from the content manager pane. This results in the following error:
I also cannot delete it as I am getting the prompt that the model is in use. I have exited and re-tried a few times.
I would have loved to check if I can see this data in the web interface, but I've been presented with a spinning wheel labeled "Loading related data" for the past 15 minutes.
How can I resolve this or at least see what the problem is?
Thanks + regards,
gj
Hello @dev2EP8UX,
I hope you're doing well. Is this your own library? Is it coming from library.io?
Generally within Fusion you can't not edit components that you don't own. So anything from the default libraries is not editable. If you want to edit them, you have to copy them to your own library and then edit them from there.
Let me know what level of control you have over this library.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,
Thanks Jorge and sorry for the belated response. This is my own library and it is not linked to library.io (any longer). I started from scratch - again. This problem didn't happen again since. But I still have lots of items in my libraries (3d models, footprints, etc.) that are now stale and which I am not allowed to delete. Trying to track down the reason for each act-up is another time vampire and a rich source of frustration. A video explaining how to keep the libraries tidy and organised and how to troubleshoot the frequently happening oddities would be very useful. All the materials I have seen focused on starting from a clean new library and of course, everything is simple there. In reality, after a short time, you find yourself with multiple copies of the same thing with same or similar names that make the whole library messy.
Hi @dev2EP8UX,
I hope you're doing well. Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do about making some content for lib management.
Best Regards,
